General Information
You are cordially invited to join us for our classic Winter Carnival Recital. This event provides a relaxed and friendly environment, where all students are welcome to participate without the need for auditions, ensuring a stress-free and non-competitive experience.
 
Each performer will receive a gift, and as a small token of our appreciation, the teachers who submit three or more students will also receive Music-Fest gifts.
 
No tickets are needed for this recital. You may invite your family and friends.
Requirements
  • No age limit for students.
  • One music piece of the student's choice, performed by memory.
  • To perform several music pieces, participants should submit a separate application form for each music piece.
  • No memorization is required for duets and instrumentalists or vocalists performing with the accompaniment.
  • Instrumentalists and vocalists are responsible for their accompaniments. Music-Fest can provide an accompanist for a fee.
  • The time limit to the piece is seven minutes.
Dress Code

Girls should wear a dress, skirt, or dress pants with a blouse. Dresses and skirts should be at least knee-length when seated. Dress shoes only.

Boys should wear a suit or dress pants with a dress shirt. Ties are optional. No jeans or sneakers. Dress shoes only.

  • When should I arrive at the recital?
    You should arrive approximately 15 minutes before the recital time.
  • Will there be a rehearsal time before the recital?
    Yes, performers can try the piano before the beginning of the concert. 
  • How long is the recital?
    Each recital will be approximately one hour long. It may be from 45 minutes to up to 1 hour 15 minutes long.
  • Should I stay till the end of the recital?
    Yes, we expect you to stay until the end of the recital.

You can park in the Library Parking lot off Library Pl. next to the Wright Library, marked L on the campus map.

No parking is allowed around the quad.
