Marianne Lauffer

Marianne Lauffer earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in piano performance from Indiana University as a student of Dr. Karen Shaw. She completed her post-graduate work at the Juilliard School on the Professional Studies program studying with Irwin Freundlich and Jacob Lateiner, and German Diez. She has performed as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician, and with her duo-piano partner and husband, Peter. In addition, she has accompanied numerous masterclasses, choirs, stage productions, and dance programs throughout New Jersey.

Ms. Lauffer was the featured pianist with the American Repertory Ballet Company at McCarter Theater in Princeton, New Jersey, as well as the State Theater and George Street Theaters in New Brunswick, and in New York City. Ms. Lauffer served as President of New Jersey Music Teachers Association from 2000 - 2002. She frequently adjudicates for music competitions and festivals throughout the tri-state area including New Jersey Music Teachers Association, Music Educators Association, Piano Teachers Forum festival, Shore Music Educators Association, Teen Arts festival, and the New Jersey Governor's School.

Since 1979, Ms. Lauffer has been on the staff of Westminster Conservatory of Music in Princeton. She is currently Assistant Director of Faculty and Extensions at Westminster Conservatory and Director of the Conservatory Summer Music Camps. Ms. Lauffer has maintained a private piano studio in Ewing Township since 1980.
