Inessa Gleyzerova Shindel

Born in Russia, Inessa Gleyzerova-Shindel began her piano studies at the age of six as a student of the Kaliningrad Music School for gifted children. Her first award came very early in 1986 when she was named a Second Prize Winner of the regional Piano Competition.

Ms.Gleyzerova-Shindel graduated from the Kaliningrad College of music and Arts in 1988. She was accepted at the Belorussian State Academy of Music in Minsk. In 1992 Ms.Gleyzerova-Shindel received a Master’s Degree in Music and subsequently graduated with Postgraduate Diploma from the Belorussian State Academy of Music in 1994.

Upon her arrival to the United States, Ms.Gleyzerova-Shindel acquired substantial exposure in numerous concerts. She performed in the Artist Ascending Series in Memphis in 1994. In the summer of the same year, she won the hearts of the audience with her technical brilliance and artistic insights in Italy at the Meranofest’95, a prestigious international annual music festival. 

In 1995 Inessa Gleyzerova-Shindel was accepted into the Postgraduate program at the Hochschule fur Musik in Frankfurt, Germany.

Ms.Gleyzerova-Shindel was the First Prize Winner of the MetLife Music Competition in 1996. Her public recitals include solo performances at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York as well as chamber music recitals at Merkin Recital Hall.

Ms.Gleyzerova-Shindel has been a faculty member of Westminster Conservatory of Music in Princeton, New Jersey since 1999. She is also one of the artistic directors of Music-Fest, a festival featuring performances of the most gifted young musicians of NJ, NY, PA, MA, MD and other states.
